Mozambique’s severe fuel shortages are disrupting daily life and exposing the need for long-term sustainability. These challenges have reinforced the importance of our growing farm project, which is becoming both a source of practical provision and a center for ministry. Completing the layers’ house is the next critical step toward greater self-sufficiency, stability, and expanded opportunities for discipleship and community transformation.
Over the past year, God has steadily advanced Hope of a Nation’s hatchery project in Mozambique. What began as a vision for sustainability and training is now a functioning operation — generating income, creating opportunity, and strengthening the ministry’s foundation. With electricity brought to the farm, an incubator in place, and hundreds of chicks successfully hatched and sold, this project is already bearing fruit.
We are excited to announce, “Giving Hope,” a 12-hour ministry marathon and fundraiser taking place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Grace Community Assembly in Branson, Missouri, from 12:00 noon and ending at 12:00 midnight (CDT). This powerful event will also be live streamed worldwide to bring together thousands in worship, prayer, and generosity to support vital ministry projects.
As 2025 begins, Susan and I are embracing God’s call to rest in Him despite the challenges of last year, including financial struggles and ministry setbacks in Mozambique. Resting in God means fully surrendering to His will and trusting His faithfulness, even amid new trials. To anyone facing hardships, I encourage you to trust Him, keep your eyes on His promises, and find peace in His sovereignty.
While their summer in Mozambique was filled with memorable moments, the Collmorgens' journey didn’t end there. They also had an unforgettable and impactful time in Uganda and Zambia, where they dedicated their efforts to understanding and supporting the needs of the orphaned children Hope of a Nation is connected to.
This summer, the Collmorgens embarked on a journey to Southern Africa, to further strengthen established relationships in the nations where Hope of a Nation serves. The majority of their time was spent in Mozambique, where they worked with our operations team and focused on our ministry’s core programs. Here we share the highlights and impactful moments from their unforgettable time in Mozambique.
Hope of a Nation recently celebrated five years as an official organization. Executive Directors Jason and Susan Collmorgen joined the operations team on our beautiful farm in Mozambique to reflect and give thanks for everyone who has been a part of our ministry's journey.
Hope of a Nation recently assisted the Siloam Mountain Junior School in rural Uganda by meeting some critical supply needs for the 618 orphans they board and educate.
This summer, Jason and I plan to return to Mozambique. We have exciting things in store for this trip! We'll be ministering and working with our Mozambican team to plan, strategize, teach, team build, and much more. Jason will even be visiting Uganda, and we'll both journey to Zambia as well.
We’ve invited this wonderful couple, Anthony & Valerie Rabak, to become a part of Hope of a Nation’s team. The Rabaks will be assisting us in a volunteer capacity on special projects, and we couldn’t be more excited! Now, their efforts in Uganda will be part of Hope of a Nation’s work as well.
