We're Returning to Mozambique This Summer!

Exciting Things Are in Store for This Upcoming Trip

By

The last time Jason and I were in Mozambique was during the summer of 2022, and we are simply amazed at all God has accomplished through this ministry over these past two years. We feel so blessed just to be a part of it!

Since our last visit, three students have graduated their nursing or health education university programs, and nine have graduated from an entrepreneurial training program. Our children’s ministry and medical outreach programs have grown. We’ve gained a third medical team member, which increases our Mozambican team to a total of 15 workers. We started a farm, raised crops, built a bridge, taught interns, raised chickens and are now building our own chicken houses on our land – a huge step toward achieving a sustainable ministry!

We are very excited about our upcoming return trip this summer (2024). We plan to depart late June and stay in Mozambique for two months. We'll be spending a LOT of time ministering and working with our team there.

We are honored to have been invited to be the primary guest speakers at a conference involving several local churches. We’ll also be speaking at our partner churches each Sunday and Wednesday and sharing what the Lord lays on our hearts. Foreign guest speakers generally draw people who might not otherwise set foot in a church. We’ve always seen salvations and powerful moves of God during such times in the past. Most Mozambican churches are located amongst people’s homes, and due to their open structure, everyone in the neighborhood can hear what’s being preached. We're praying that God will use this to his advantage and move on the hearts of many!

We will also be gathering with our team to plan, strategize, problem solve, team build, teach, and further build relationships. We’re looking forward to seeing the progress of the farm, the growth of our children’s ministry, and how much our orphan children have grown!

During our stay, we’ll also travel 12+ hours by bus over very rough roads to Inhambane province in southern Mozambique to see the work two of our medical team members are doing there. This is the same area where baby Jason lives (the child with cerebral palsy whom we’ve been assisting with physical therapy). So, we'll finally get to meet him in person and see how he is doing.

At the end of our trip, Jason will go to Uganda for a week to visit the Siloam Mountain Junior School to become more familiar with their needs and assess how we can help them become more self-sustaining.

WE REALLY NEED YOUR AND OTHERS’ HELP TO RETURN TO MOZAMBIQUE.

The cost of airfare is very expensive as are visas and lodging. In 2022 our airfare was $2,700 for the two of us. Current airfare rates are running around $5,200. That’s a 92% increase!

We believe in being faithful with what we’ve been given, so when you and others partner with us financially, we safeguard and use those funds wisely. If you read our 2023 Annual Report, you already know how much was accomplished on so small a budget.
