Laborers in the Harvest & a Multitude of Children

By

We’ve invited this wonderful couple, Anthony & Valerie Rabak, to become a part of Hope of a Nation’s team. The Rabaks will be assisting us in a volunteer capacity on special projects, and we couldn’t be more excited!

For the past six years, they’ve independently helped a large boarding school/orphanage in Uganda with a variety of needs. They stepped up to help meet those needs by personally contributing support, organizing fundraising efforts, and coordinating the implementation of various projects. Now, their efforts in Uganda will be part of Hope of a Nation’s work as well.

Anthony and Valerie moved to our area in 2021, and we met at the church we both attend. As we’ve gotten to know them over the past couple of years, we discovered we had a lot in common, and we can attest that their hearts are just as big as their smiles! Not only do they have a passion for changing lives through Christ’s love, but they also have a heart for missions and especially for children.

The Rabaks have been helping Siloam Mountain Junior School, a Christian orphanage and boarding school in rural Uganda that cares for over 600 orphan children. They originally got connected with Siloam through Anthony’s affiliation with Business Men's Fellowship (BMF), and their hearts broke when they saw a video of the children sleeping on the floor. It was then that Anthony and Valerie spearheaded a fundraising effort to help build 200 triple-decker bunk beds to get the children off the cold floor, and their relationship with the children and school administrator has grown from there. They have assisted the school with other projects since then, and they would love to see this school become more self-sustaining.

At the end of last year, Jason began responding to the Lord’s prompting to invite Anthony, Valerie, and their efforts in Uganda into Hope of a Nation’s fold. After further discussions, we all felt we could accomplish so much more for the Kingdom of God by linking arms together and working collectively as one body.

Going forward, their story with Uganda will also be our story, and our story with Mozambique will also be their story. Jason and I had been praying for more stateside laborers in this harvest, and God sent us two amazing people to run alongside us.

Only God knows what lies ahead. Only he knows how many lives will be reached and changed for his glory, and we’re so thankful for each one of the people he divinely orchestrates to be a part of it.
