We are continually amazed and grateful for the incredible team that the Lord has brought together to serve through Hope of a Nation. Each member carries out their role with excellence, but more importantly, with hearts full of love for Jesus and a desire to share Him with others.
Jossias, who serves as one of our medical team members, visited an orphanage of 44 children. On this occasion, he did not go in the role of a medical professional, but simply to share about the Lord. With a heart full of compassion, he spoke to the children about Jesus and His love for them. The children were happy and excited to have him visit, and their joy and engagement brought such encouragement to everyone present, planting seeds of hope in their young lives.
Tony, our Children’s Services Director, continues to oversee the orphans in our care while also leading our weekly children’s ministry, which now reaches an average of 150 children each week. In the ministry, Tony and his team prepare a cooked meal for the children, sing songs, teach lessons, and share stories of God’s love. The ministry has grown largely through word-of-mouth, as families and communities hear about the impact and bring more children to participate. Just last month, Tony traveled an hour away to assist a friend with their children’s ministry, extending the message of Jesus to even more young hearts.
Meanwhile, our farm team—though fully occupied with tending to crops and produce—made time to bless children from the nearby village. With the permission of their parents and guardians, they gathered 35 children who live close to the farm. The team prepared a simple meal from farm-grown food, including fresh tomatoes, cabbage, and carrots, along with a large bread roll for each child. After the meal, they shared about Jesus and His great love for them. The team expressed how much they would love to do this weekly with the community children, showing the ongoing heart of service and care that defines Hope of a Nation.
